Terms of Participation

Please review and accept the following Terms of Participation in order to proceed to the Registration Page.

  1. I am responsible for the payment of service fees and any related costs that enable me to receive messages.

  2. I am responsible for taking the following steps: registering my information; modifying my information to keep it current and deregistering from this service. For each of those steps, I understand that I will be sent, via text message and/or e-mail, a confirmation that I must reply to before the step I have requested can be processed.

  3. I shall not register any other user without his/her expressed permission.

  4. I shall not rebroadcast any message sent to me through this service unless I send in its entirety and without modifying or altering the message in any way.

  5. I acknowledge that the Peterborough Police Service, the Peterborough Police Services Board, the Corporation of the City of Peterborough, the Corporation of the Village of Lakefield and the Township of Cavan-Monaghan are not liable for (1) the failure to send any message; (2) any failure of any message to be delivered to me (3) any delay in sending any message (4) the timing of any delivery of message actually sent or (5) the content of any message. I also agree that the aforementioned parties are not liable for making the decision not broadcast any information, in whole or in part, of any Alert or message, through this service.

  6. I acknowledge that the Peterborough Police Service, the Peterborough Police Services Board, the Corporation of the City of Peterborough, the Corporation of the Village of Lakefield and the Township of Cavan-Monaghan are not liable for the failure of this service to store, modify or remove any subscriber information and the said parties reserve the right at any time to modify, suspend, block or discontinue my service or any part thereof without notice and that I will not hold them liable for such action.

  7. I understand that all information provided through the registration process shall be used solely for the administration of this service by the Peterborough Police Service and will be stored on a secure server provided by Nexicom and be held confidential subject to applicable law.

  8. By clicking on "I ACCEPT" I acknowledge that I have read and understood the Terms of Participation and I will be provided access to the Registration Page in order to continue the registration process.
